

Mrs. Pearl Millwood Watson, age 76, of Northport passed away at her residence July, 22, 2022. Mrs. Watson was born May 17, 1946 in the Walker County town of Carbon Hill to James Wiley and Ella Mae Millwood.
She attended Prospect school and graduated from Carbon Hill High School in 1964. After graduation she attended the Ray Albin School of Beauty. Pearl was married to Glenn Thomas Watson on July 24, 1966 and was married until his death on January 19, 2001.
She was a beautician for 36 years and many of those years was self employed. Pearl was a fantastic cook and enjoyed hosting her family and friends. She was known for her “world famous” fried chicken. She enjoyed keeping her house nice for her family and friends. She also enjoyed growing flowers and making flower arrangements. She was a person of deep faith and was a member of the Church of Christ since childhood.
Mrs. Watson is survived by her children, Glenda Pearl Watson Jordan (Greg) and Keith Alan Watson (Mandy) all of Northport; grandchildren, Noah Khanh Watson, Eliana Abella Watson, Selah Weishu Watson, Shalom XiaoYao Watson, Ian Jeremiah Watson, Judah Jediah Watson, Anora Nadia Watson and Nathan Eben Watson all of Northport; siblings, Ola Fay Latham (Joe) of Holt, Audrey Mae Stanley of Lincoln, Lydia Eleanor Staten (John), Jackson, MS. and a host of other relatives.
Mrs. Watson is predeceased by her parents, James Wiley and Ella Mae Millwood; her husband, Glenn Thomas Watson; siblings, Doris Micheal Schloss (Gerry), Annilou Spencer (Otis), George Wiley Millwood (Lucy), Carolyn Sue Latham (Bobby) and brother in law; Jerry Stanley.
Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, July 30, 2022 beginning at 3:00 PM at Phillips Chapel Baptist Church, 19552 Mormon Road, Northport, Al 35475, burial will follow immediately preceding the service in the adjoining cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 PM until service time. A reception will be held at North Tuscaloosa Church of Christ, 1081 Fairfax Park, Tuscaloosa, Al 35406 beginning at 6:00 PM.
Bro. Terrell Jones and Bro. Clark Sims will officiate the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Jonathan Guthrie, David Izaguirre, Stansel Latham, Cory Staten, Mark Tunnel and Noah Watson. Honorary pallbearers will be Member of the local Churches of Christ, Members of Grace Church, the Pinedale Community, Classmates from Carbon Hill High School, long time friend Carolyn Winters, and childhood friends, Myrna Gardner and Linda Hopson Johnson.
