Ruby O. Martin

GREENSBORO | Ruby Martin, age 90, of Greensboro, died November 13, 2015, at Colonial Haven Nursing Home. Services will be 11 a.m. Sunday, November 15, 2015, at Sunset Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Hallman and Rev. Authur Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Sunset Funeral Home, A Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the funeral home.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Martin; parents; two brothers; two sisters; granddaughter, Pam Carter; and a son.

Survivors include her daughters, Linda Carter (Donnie) and Peggy Black (Terry); son, Robert Martin (Donna) and Carl Mother (Sara); twelve grandchildren; and twenty three great grandchildren.

She always been a person who cared for other people. She enjoyed going to church and attending Homecomings. She loved and cared about her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Early in life she worked at Vanity Fair in Demopolis, Ala. for many years. She also worked as sitter for people in her later years. She was a homemaker.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Carter, Mike Carter, Jim Middlebrooks, Brandon Black, Dennis Willis and Danny McCroy.

Honorary pallbearers are Colonial Haven Station Two; Comfort Care and Dr. Lee's Staff.
