NORTHPORT | Ruth Oswalt Collins, age 89, of Northport, died December 11, 2013, at Forest Manor Nursing Home. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday, December 13, 2013, at Campground United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. George Jackson officiating and Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be tonight from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Wayburn Collins; parents, Hugo and Eula Oswalt; and brothers, Talmadge and Edison Oswalt.Survivors include her daughter, Marie C. Whiting (Frank); grandchild, Cheryl W. Johnson; and great-grandchildren, Rebecca and Gary Wayne.She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and is already missed.Pallbearers will be Jerry Cannon, Roger Cannon, Jeff Oswalt, Thomas Oswalt, Eddie Oswalt, Ferrell Mitchell, and Ricky Noland.Honorary pallbearers are friends and neighbors of Johnson Circle, Five Points and Samantha, Forest Manor Nursing Home staff, employees of Regions Bank, City of Northport Water Dept., John Mize, Sonja Kimbrell, and Robert W.
