Susan Denise Porter

Susan Denise Porter, age 58, of Northport, Alabama passed away on Friday, March 1,2024. Her loss is completely unexpected and her family and friends are profoundly saddened. She was a lover of all things sports. She loved to be at anything and everything her grandchildren were doing. She loved being a “Sue” more than anything. She was proud of her family and would brag on them every chance she got.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, March 6th at 11:00am at Sunset Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents Albert and Ellen Hollyhand; brother Wayne Hollyhand; and father-in-law Glenn Porter.

She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Lamar Porter; children Maggie, Seth, Adam and his wife Emma; grandchildren Wyatt, Whitleigh and Watson; sister Donna Robinson; brother Randy Hollyhand; sister-in-law Carol Hollyhand; mother-in-law Mary Jane Porter; sweetest pups Chief and Poppy; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Will Hollyhand, Luke Hollyhand and Darren Beams.
