Thelma R. Whiddon, age 78, of Gordo, died March 19, 2011, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 2 p.m. today at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be today from 12 noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jeff Hocutt and Alice Kelly Hocutt, four brothers, and five sisters.
Survivors include her daughters, Brenda Turner (Andy) of Abbeville, Teresa Smith and Rhonda Culpepper of Gordo, and Allison Whiddon of Panama City, Fla.; her sons, Doug Camp (Peggy) of Tuscaloosa and Reggie Whiddon (Maryana) of Montgomery; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was a member of the Baptist faith.
Pallbearers will be Billy Rogers, Rex Bush, Jimmy Hocutt, Larry Watson, Joe Hocutt, and Terry Watson.
