Ann was born on October 22, 1924 to Thomas Rodney Mudd and Zinnia Richards Mudd. She was the youngest in a family of five children raised in Evansville, Indiana.
In 1947, Ann married James Robert Belden and moved to the San Fernando Valley, where she made her home for 67 years. She had a daughter, Kathy, born in 1948 and a son, Robert, born in 1950. After Ann was widowed in 1957, she entered the workforce for the first time at the age of 33, raising two children while working at Cal Fed Savings and Loans in Reseda. Summers were special to her because she took the kids to Indiana to spend time with her family.
After 25 successful years at the bank, Ann retired to tend to her rose garden, enjoy her soaps, walks and baking. She was known for her delicious cakes, pies and cookies that were shared with family and friends. Ann also found time to travel with her sister Lee through different parts of the country.
She is survived by two granddaughters, Sherry and Tracy, five great grandchildren, son Robert and daughter-in-law, Irene.
