Jim Carleton (James Byrne Carleton III) was a friend, partner, and protector throughout 50 years of marriage. He was intelligent, retained an amazing body of knowledge about the world, and was a fierce champion of the environment, social justice, and the people he loved. He is survived by his wife, three daughters, nine grandchildren, and a great granddaughter on the way. He is loved by family and friends, and the void left by his passing will not be easily filled.
