Rose Lantin Junio, 61, of Pasay City, Manila - passed away on December 22, 2024 after a sudden viral infection through influenza-A. Her smile, kindness, and the lessons she taught will forever be ingrained in our hearts.
Rose is survived by her husband of 31 years, Joselito (Don) Junio, her son Angelo Junio, her son's girlfriend Christina Lee, her siblings Annie Stuart, Mary Latorre, Connie Cruz, and Ben Lantin, as well as several family members and friends in Southern California as well as her country of origin in the Philippines.
Rose was a woman of deep faith. She began and ended her day in prayer. She would visit Our Lady of Grace 3-4 days a week and often stream church services on her TV every morning. She prayed for everything and everyone. She would ask for blessings for herself, blessings for her family and friends, blessings for the less fortunate, and even blessings for those who bore animosity towards her. This love and understanding of God carried on to every other aspect of her life.
Rose worked in education as a teacher for 39 years. She began her career in the Philippines, teaching at Southville International School and Elizabeth Seton until she decided to migrate to the United States. She had spent the last 26 years at Robert Fulton College Preparatory in Van Nuys.
Inside and outside of the classroom, she taught more than just academic lessons to students. She demonstrated how to understand others, how to show compassion, and how to show kindness amongst each other.
Rose now joins her parents, Irene and Avelino Lantin, in eternal life.
Donations in support of this service would be greatly appreciated. Checks can be made out to "Angelo Junio". The Junio family is thankful for celebrating the life of our beloved Rose, who gave and taught so much to us.
