Russell Stanley Beckers

Russ met his wife, Aileen, at Charlie's Garage in 1985. Russ introduced me to car racing, and I loved to watch him work on cars. Russ was a member IATSE local 33 for 20 years. Raced at Saugus Speedway, NASCAR Western divisional champion. Russ later became the Chairman of the Sonority Committee and was the extremely proud and committed.

Russ was very hands-on around the house. He worked on everything from plumbing, electrical, carpentry and of course, worked on our cars as mechanic. Russ was full on knowledge and could work on anything. Aside from home improvement projects, Russ worked with wood and metal and made beautiful wood boxes, metal artwork, welded fences and trailers. Russ also worked with stone, cutting and polishing gems and minerals. He later established RABCO MINING and sold his work on the road.

Among Russ' other interests were boating, shooting guns, fishing and camping.

Survived by wife Aileen Beckers; mother, Candy Beckers; all his close family and good friends and along with race family and rockhound family.

A funeral service will be held at the Pioneer Church located in Oakwood Memorial Park in Chatsworth on Thursday, August 15, 2024, at 11:00am.
