Alice was born January 19, 1938 in Waterbury, CT, the daughter of the late John Herbert and Alice (Holdridge) Anderson.
She is survived by her sons John, Keith and Arnold Raynor, daughters Marcie Raynor, Valerie Bowen and by many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter Elizabeth Santos, sisters Catherine Valukevich, Doris Mallard, and her brothers Wallace, Floyd, Roy and Arnold Anderson.
Alice was known for her spunky, feisty and quick-witted personality. She loved her family, listening to classic country music-her favorite songs being “Twilight Time” and “Little Arrows”, puzzle books, board games and coloring. She enjoyed feeding the wildlife in her backyard; especially the cardinals that visited her bird feeders regularly. Alice was a very giving person who donated to several organizations including Guiding Eyes for the Blind, ASPCA, Humane Society of the U.S and the VFW. She continued her giving spirit after her passing when she became a tissue donor.
Calling hours will be held at the Montville Funeral Home of Church and Allen on Friday, September 18 from 6 to 8 pm. Burial will be private for the family.
In lieu of flower, memorial donations in Alice Raynor’s memory may be made to Guiding Eyes for the Blind, 611 Granite Springs Road, Yorktown Heights, NY 10598.
