

Audrey was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, on January 1, 1935. She lived a life defined by kindness, warmth, and quiet strength. A devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother Audrey took great joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved visits to Disney World, relaxing on cruises, and spending time working on puzzles–pastimes that reflected her gentle spirit and appreciation for both adventure and calm.
For many Years, Audrey worked diligently as an office clerk, where she was known for her reliability and friendly nature. She carried that same dedication and care into her home life, where she created lasting memories for those she loved.
Audrey was predeceased by her beloved husband, Clement Collins, who passed away in 1987 and by her daughter, Margaret Collins.
She is survived by her loving family: Susan and Philip Pappa of Norwich, Connecticut; Dorothy and Gerald Capra of Southborough, Massachusetts; her cherished grandchildren, Rachel and Kyle Hartenstein of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Lauren and Raymond Sulich of Preston Connecticut; Matthew and Lyndsay Pappa of East Hartford, Connecticut; and Gerald Capra Jr. of Southborough Massachusetts. She was a proud great-grandmother to Abigail Sulich and Sophia Pappa
Audrey was loved by many, and her kindness, gentle presence, and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
Visitation will be Thursday April 23, 2026 from 11:a.m. until 12 noon at the Church and Allen Funeral Home 136 Sachem Street Norwich.
At 12:00 p.m. a funeral service will be held at the funeral home in Audrey's memory. Burial will be private.
