Beverly Lamperelli Thompson-On Thursday, December 10th, Beverly passed away peacefully following a courageous
battle with cancer. Beverly was 63 years old and was born on August 8, 1952 in Norwich, CT to Nicholas and Anna
(Vendola) Lamperelli. Beverly grew up in Norwich, CT and graduated from Norwich Free Academy where she was active in the Majorette Corp and participated in many of the Variety Shows. She also attended Eastern CT State
College in Willimantic. Living in Hawaii Beverly met and married Eric Thompson in 1981. The couple later lived in Seattle, Wyoming and settled in Niantic, CT following Eric's discharge from the U.S. Navy.
Beverly enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She had a love for the NY Yankees and agonized
over the NY Giants but she also had a great appreciation for ballet, opera and the finer things in life.
She was a kind and gentle soul who had a loving and generous heart and was always giving to others.
She had a contagious laugh that will not ever be forgotten and will be sorely missed.
Beverly had a great faith which was a tremendous source of strength throughout her life. This spiritual
commitment was one which brought her joy and peace and, ultimately, the tranquility with which she
faced her final hours. She was preceded in death by her dad, Nicholas J. Lamperelli, her husband, Eric, as well as by many other uncles and aunts. Beverly is survived by her mother, Anna (Vendola) Lamperelli of Norwich, her brother Robert and his wife Barbara (DeCarolis) Lamperelli of Stonington, her niece Stacey (Lamperelli) Crockett and her
husband, Cameron, of Long Beach, CA as well as her last remaining aunt and uncle, Lucy and Paul
Lamperelli of Montville. She is also survived by many caring and close cousins on both sides of her
family. A short service will be held at the Labenski Funeral Home 107 Boswell Avenue Norwich at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, December 21, 2015 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00a.m. in St. Peter and Pauls Church Norwich with burial to follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
