Christopher "Cj" Smith Jr

CJ was born in Middletown, CT on Dec. 12, 1998 to Christopher and Kimberly (LaCross) Smith. He was studying to be an electrician at Ella T. Grasso Technical High School.

CJ is a Life Scout in Boy Scouts working toward his Eagle; he was a member of the Order of the Arrow and was preparing to go to Philmont this summer. CJ was the senior Patrol Leader in his troop and was elected to lead the group going to Philmont. CJ was the true example of what a Scout is: always willing to help other people.

Beyond scouting, CJ loved farming and all that it entails, be it tending to the animals or tinkering with a hay bailer to get it working. CJ also enjoyed hunting and camping; he lived for the outdoors.

CJ is survived by his parents, his brothers Kenny (15), Kyle (12), and Collin (5), his grandparents Linda and John Smith, his grandfather Albert LaCross Sr., and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. CJ was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Sandy LaCross, and his uncle, Charlie Smith.

CJ loved his family and is deeply missed by them.

Calling hours will be Saturday from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm with a Memorial Service held at 12:00 pm at Kingdom Gateway Ministries, 505 Old Colchester Road, Uncasville.
