Donato J. Silvestre

He was born September 17, 1928 in New London, the son of the late Salvatore and Agnes (Rossi) Sylvester.

He married Angela S. (Vasington) July 20, 1957 at the Cathedral of St. Patrick in Norwich. She survives him.

He had worked as an electrician at Electric Boat for 37 years, until his retirement in 1990.

He was a diehard Red Sox and Patriots fan.

In addition to his loving wife Angela, he is survived by his son Daniel J. Silvestre, daughter Kathleen Donat and husband Edward, sister Barbara Gunther, grandchildren Daryl Donat and wife Kimberlee, Kristy Simpson and husband Matthew; great grandchildren Tyler and Ayden Donat and Kera and Jacob Simpson and by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Joseph Sylvester, sisters Frances Denner and Elizabeth Nelson.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at the Labenski Funeral Home at 11am. Visitation will be held two hours prior from 9 am until the time of the service. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Donato Silvestre’s memory may be made to Hospice of SE CT, 227 Dunham St. Norwich CT 06360.
