

Emile A. LaPorte 92, of White Plains Rd. Norwich, widower of Helen E. “Betty” LaPorte died Wednesday morning at his residence. Born in Baltic July 28, 1923 son of the late Adolph and Derilda LaPorte, Mr. LaPorte lived in the Baltic/Norwich area his whole life. On Jan. 26, 1946 he was united in marriage to Helen E. Santo. He was employed at Electric Boat until entering the U.S. Navy and was a WWII veteran. After the Navy he founded his own business Allied Plumbing Heating and Electrical Co. He is survived by a son Jeffrey S. LaPorte and his wife Tammy of Marlborough, and a stepgrandson Chase Matthews. He was predeceased by a sister Rita Furlong. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. LaPorte on Sat. Nov. 14, 2015 10:00 am in St. Marys Church Baltic. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Marys Cemetery Baltic. There are no calling hours. Memorial donations in Emile’s memory may be made to St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception, 70 West Main St. Baltic Ct. 06330-1348.
