Gerald Berthod

He was born August 18, 1950 in Woonsocket, RI, the son of Anselme Berthod and the late Theresa M. (Bousquet) Berthod.

He married Elizabeth M. (Fish) June 8, 1968 at the North Stonington Congregational Church. She survives him.

He had worked as a heavy equipment operator. He was a member of Local 478. He loved spending time at the Fort Trumbull Marina aboard his boat. He loved to fish and garden. He was a member of the French Club as well as the Preston VFW.

n addition to his wife Elizabeth, he is survived by his children Blaine R. Berthod, Gregory L. Berthod, Dawn M. (Berthod) Rauscher, by 13 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, sister and brother in laws as well as many other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held at the Church and Allen Funeral Home in Norwich on Thursday at 11 am. A calling hour will be held one hour prior from 10 to 11 am. Burial will follow in Poquetanuck Cemetery in Preston.
