Isabelle A Berardi

Born in Terlizzi, Italy on May 5, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Domenick and Lucretia Rutigliano. On April 12, 1947, in Italy, she was united in marriage to her cherished and loving husband, Paul Berardi, who passed away on June 21, 1977.

Isabelle was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Isabelle’s life centered on her family, faith, and friends. She made friends with everyone she met. She especially enjoyed being with her friends at Hamilton Park. She was a member of the Italian Women’s Club and a member of St. Peter and Paul Church in Norwich.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Mary Jo and Bishop Wlodecki of Preston. She is also survived by her two grand-daughters and their families: Amy and Scott Kupis of Preston, Julie and Brandon Davis of North Stonington. She was known as “GG” to her great-grandchildren, who brought her much joy: Sydney Isabelle Kupis, Jaxon Cole Davis and Mya Violet Davis. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Delores Rutigliano, along with many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Paul, brothers and sister-in-laws: Felix and Theresa Rutigliano, Frank and Anna Rutigliano and brother, Anthony Rutigliano.

Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 at Labenski Funeral Home, 107 Boswell Avenue, Norwich, where the funeral will assemble on Thursday at 9:00 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter and Paul church at 10:00. Interment to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
