
He was born on August 9, 1941 in Limestone Maine to the late Louis F. and Elizabeth (Lovely) Michaud Sr., the tenth born of fifteen children. “Duke” served in the US Army during Vietnam and was honorably discharged. He worked as a diesel mechanic for SEAT Bus since 1978 and was now retired. He was a member of the American Legion Post 4 in Norwich holding many positions over his years there. He loved his family and friends and will be missed by many.
Duke is survived by his sons; Louis F. Michaud III, Christopher W. Butler, Ralph Andrew Michaud, and Allen Michaud, daughter; Angela Miller, brothers; Gregory “Bo” Michaud and Harold “Hally” Michaud, sisters; Katherine “Kacky” Wadsworth and Linda “Lou” Griffin, ten grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also predeceased by daughter; Theresa Ward.
Calling hours will be Wednesday from 6pm-8pm at Church & Allen Funeral Home, 136 Sachem St., Norwich, CT., with Military Honors rendered at 7:30pm. There will be no service and burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
