Marge was my first cousin, daughter of my father’s sister, Mary. Marge was always just as kind and compassionate as her mother was, and I could go on and on about Aunt Mary who I loved very much. 

Marge and I grew up fairly near each other in CT,  her in Norwich and me in Groton, and saw each other often as kids. I remember her as sweet, friendly, and so pretty. And smart. She was the first in her family to go to college, as I remember. 

After we grew up and married and I moved away to Virginia we somewhat lost touch, except to send yearly Christmas cards. But a few years ago when I moved to Massachusetts I visited Marge several times. I treasure those visits. 

She took me to see the house our Scottish grandmother bought in Norwich when she arrived in the US, which I had always wondered about. She gave me a beautiful quilt and a large framed family photo,  which I love. Marge was the kind, generous person I had always known. She was a gift to the world. And I got to see you, Stephanie, who I hadn’t seen since you were a beautiful young girl!

I became friends with Steph through Beth D. in 7th grade. We spent a lot of time visiting each other's houses and Mrs. Booth would always have freshly baked chocolate chip cookies or some other delicious sweets, and tea. I can her voice plainly as she offered us treats.  

She will be greatly missed, and I thank her and her family for being part of some of the best memories of my life.

We have been neighbors for over 40 years.  Marge shared her knowledge of growing and caring for flowers.  She looked forward to joining her Bob.  Marge talked often over the years about seeing him again.  May you now enjoy being together again.  Miss walking through your gardens with you.

Marge was truly a woman of many gifts, and more complicated than she might appear upon first meeting.  She never wavered from her beliefs, nor shied away from expressing her thoughts about right and wrong.  Thank you, Marge, for being you.  I will miss you.

The world has lost a very special lady who taught and touched many lives  , mine especially!
I met Mrs Booth when I worked  at Holdridge Plantland and since we both loved gardening , our friendship  of 50 yes,began to bloom.
Our interest in antiques also was an added love that took us to many Antique shops in Connecticut,Rhode Island, Mass.
She was amazing when she was able to hop up into my truck even in her late 80’s!!
I’ll miss the times  spent in “tea Rooms” after shopping and sharing our special finds, our families, and our faith.
Everyone who knew her will say the same…
She was the most unselfish and most giving person ever.
She has given me gifts that adorn my home and will always be a reminder of her and her friendship! 
I know God put her into my life to inspire me with all her knowledge of life, arts,poetry and LOVE 
Our Condolences to you Stephanie and your family upon your loss  ,but know your Mother earned her angel wings and is in the presence of Our Lord and all her family she loved and missed!
May her soul rest in peace!

I was honored to have Margie as my dear friend for 47 years. She imparted her knowledge of herbs, gardening, wall stenciling, and antiquing. I always told her however her greatest gift was the giving of  herself as my friend. She shared in  the joys and sorrows of my life and she would share her wisdom and her own memories with an open and empathetic heart. She would always ask about my children.
My deepest condolences and sympathy go to Stephanie and the family.
I will always remember Margie and miss her deeply.

Grammy was absolutely wonderful and the sweetest woman. I grew up with her granddaughter Alisha, and spent a lot of time at her home, in the garden, and receiving hugs. I will never forget her kindness.
