Michael A. Flanders, 55, of Norwich CT., passed away Tuesday, May 2nd, 2017, surrounded by his family. Born in Tarrytown, GA., to Mary Flanders Hurst, he leaves behind 3 cherished daughters: Shayna Edwards, Tashara Flanders, and Karissa Flanders, all of Norwich, CT. Michael was an avid sports fan, lover of music, and was an exceptional example of a father. His witty charm and sharp sense of humor helped inspire his many loved ones and friends, especially those friends he made over the past 27 years of his sobriety, and involvement with Alcoholics Anonymous. He was a gem and a one-of-a- kind man who will be cherished and missed eternally by all who knew him.
