Patrick J Reid

He was born in Philadelphia, PA on Jan. 30, 1951 to the late William F. and Catherine E. (Morris) Reid Bain. After he completed high school he enlisted in the US Navy. There he served in many capacities until his retirement and Honorable Discharge as a Senior Chief.

Throughout his life, Pat worked as an Electrician, EMC Coordinator, Electrical Maintenance Supervisor, and in various supervisory roles, for the U.S. Navy, Electric Boat, Farias, and Phelps Dodge Copper. His last employment was as a self-employed home improvement contractor working with his son. He was proud of their A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau.

In 1975 he was married to his beloved wife Linda (Hiscock) Reid at the Bishop Seabury Church in Groton. Pat is survived by one son; Jeremy Reid, two daughters; Diana Pimentel and Christina Reid, 7 siblings; Joan Wonder, Corrine Reid, Anna Williams, Alice Baldwin, Edwardine Bain, Lisa Bain Pruett and Faith Bain, 8 grandchildren, 1 niece, 9 nephews, 1 great niece, and 5 great nephews.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, Dec 30th at 2pm at Church & Allen Funeral Home, 136 Sachem St., Norwich. Military Honors will follow at the funeral home following the service. A Calling Hour will begin at 1pm until the time of the service.
