Anthony Jones

Anthony was born July 26, 1958 in Brooklyn, NY the son of Frank Jones and Barbara Turner and was a graduate of the Franklin Kay Lane High School of Brooklyn. As a young boy he often traveled to the Oneonta area where he would visit his grandma. In 1988 he moved to the Norwich where he had been employed by Brightman’s Hardware and for the past 1 1/2 years has made his home in Binghamton where he had been employed as a call represenative for NCI of Vestal.

Anthony was a friendly and outgoing guy who just liked people. He enjoyed his guitar, singing, his fish which he cared for on a daily basis, bowling and a good game of chess.

Anthony is survived by his mother Barbara Turner of Baltimore, his wife, Linda Jones; Wanda Williams Jones of Binghamton, his children: Cory Jones of Norwich, married to Kelly Crandall; Windy Jones, married to Damion Henry; Anthony Jones, married to Peach Dwight; and his youngest child, Safiyah Jones of Binghamton; his step-father Herbert Fuller of Scranton, PA, his sisters Crystal Johnson and husband Norman of Norwich, Lisa Vazquez and husband Christopher, Yvonne Ellington and husband Mark all of Charlotte, NC and his brothers Gregory Fuller of Norwich and Herby Fuller of Binghamton. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Anthony was predeceased by his sister Carolyn Buxton and his brothers Daryll, Marvin and Raymond Jones.

Friends may call at the R.J.Fahy Funeral Home on Friday, June 14, from 2-4 pm where reflections of his life will be offered.
