While attending Nanuet High School, Audrey became an accomplished pianist and saxophonist, among learning other instruments, and performed in several concerts in area churches and music halls. She had the acumen and grades to attend The Juilliard School or engineering school, but during that era was dismissed of the opportunity.
On Sept. 4, 1949, she married beloved husband John J. Reilly, Sr., who predeceased her on Sept. 5, 2011. They shared 62 years and one day together.
Audrey worked at Lederle Labs in Pearl River, N.Y., and most recently as an account clerk for Chenango county, among several other jobs. Her passions included watching tennis and golf, the New York Mets, and college football.
Audrey is survived by two daughters: Audeen and Ellen; three sons: John, Patrick, and Daniel; 10 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband; her son, Michael; and her brother, Chauncey McGill III.
The family will receive friends of Audrey from 2–4 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 19 at R.J. Fahy Funeral Home, 116 North Broad St., Norwich.
