Bernard J. Brown, 90, passed away on February 18, 2025. He was born in Sidney on February 15, 1935 and lived his life in the Norwich area working on many area farms. He was predeceased by his wife, Nancy M. Brown, his adopted parents, Hiram and Anna Brown; his mother, Margaret Bush Miller; his daughter, Linda Kershner; his son, Randy Brown; and his brothers and sisters. Survivors include his children, David and Jane Brown, of S. Otselic, Daniel Brown, Dennis Brown, both of West Virginia, Douglas Brown, Michael Brown, Tammy Brown, Teresa and Joshua Hartwell, all of Norwich, and Brian Brown, of Syracuse; his grandchildren, Eric and Heather Brown, Joshua and Melissa Brown, Kevin (Annie), Daniel, Kimberly, Edgar, Jennifer, Danny Jr., Noah, Jamie, Heather, Sheana, Garrett, Katie, Tiffany, Peter, Michael, Justin, Laura, Linda, Jordon, Phoenix, Arthur, Mark, and Kathy; many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive along with one sister, Marge Shoener, of Mt. Upton.
A celebration of Bernard’s life will be announced in the spring.
