

March 10, 2020 Doris May MacIntosh, absent from her body, present with her Lord Jesus. Doris was born May 5, 1939 in Montclair, NJ to Foster and Ethel (Thompson) Van Ness. She met and later married Donald MacIntosh in Whippany, NJ on August 22, 1959. In 1962, Doris and Donald followed their dream to move to “the country”, from New Jersey, settling in Preston, N.Y., to try their hand at dairy farming. In addition to dedicating her life to raising 8 children she loved gardening, sewing and teaching children bible stories. She was a lifelong, faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church and active teacher of the Good News Club. Her faith in Jesus Christ was unending as was her patience and love for her family. Her life was dedicated to the love and care of her husband, children, grand and great grandchildren. Doris’ compassion also made for a loving home for many foster children.
She is survived by her husband, Donald MacIntosh and her eight children; David (MaryAnn) MacIntosh, John (Judy) MacIntosh, Janet (Kenneth) Manley, Susan (David) Evans, Daniel (Andrea) MacIntosh, Thomas (Wendy) MacIntosh, Beth (Ben) Johnson and Jennifer (Shane) Conant. She is also survived by her 22 grandchildren; Kristen (Nick), Brian (Jen), Jeffrey (Georgia), Nathan(Jess), Todd (Hannah), Christina (Evan), Abigail (Dave), Megan (Ryan), Robert (Amy), Jonna, Sarah (Reid), Brianna (Cameron), Julia (Justin), Alyssa, Daniel A., Zachary, Nicholas, Malory (Ian), Lilly, Johanna, Gideon, Jillian and 15 great grandchildren; Allison, Emerson, Lyiam, Ethan, Anna, Jameson, Declan, Easton, Luke, Vincent, Lauren, Michael, Myles, Everett, and Ivy. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her brother George and her sister Marilyn Meehan. Doris is also survived by her loving and kind niece Mary Lou Englebrecht, who dedicated her time to care for her aunt.

Calling hours will be from 11-1 pm on Saturday, March 14, from the Calvary Baptist Church with her funeral services following starting at 1:00 pm at the Calvary Baptist Church.
