Edward is survived by, his wife of twenty years, Sandra Knuth, his son, Edward John Knuth jr., his daughter, Magean and her husband Jack Casella, his son, Joshua Knuth, his son, Christopher Symonds, and his son, William Knuth. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Owen Knuth, Olivia Lewis-Cargill, Gina Casella, Sophia Casella, Kadri Knuth, Anthony Knuth, Cole Keiling, and Jacob Knuth. His brothers and sisters also survive him: Thomas Prosser, William Prosser, Charles Knuth, Paul Knuth, and Elsie Knuth. His many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews also survive him as well. He is preceded in death by his Mother, Elsie McGreggor, Father, Charles Knuth, sister, Judy Montalvo, sister, Mary Knuth, and son, Victor Knuth.
Edward was born on July 1st, 1965 in Astoria, Queens to Elsie McGreggor and Charles Knuth. Edward had a life-long love of learning. He graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2013 with a master’s degree and a doctoral degree in the field of nursing practice. He then graduated with a doctoral degree in law practice from the Concord Law School of California. He was a devoted healthcare professional and previously worked at Chenango Memorial Hospital, Fox Hospital, Pocono Medical Center, and Geisinger Medical Center. He most recently worked as a Doctor of Nursing Practice for the IPC Medical Practice and Gnaden Huetten Hospital emergency room. He was a passionate and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and uncle who loved life and had numerous hobbies for which he was deeply devoted to, including: radio, Krav Maga, Akito, and fishing.
An open viewing with calling hours is scheduled for Friday, March 2nd, 2018 from 5-8pm at the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home, which can be found at 116 N Broad st, in Norwich, NY. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Edward’s life. The family would like to thank everyone for their love and support. He has touched so many lives and will be greatly missed by all those that knew him.
