Graydon W. Titus

Graydon W. “Stub” Titus, 82, passed away on December 13, 2025. Stub was a lifelong resident of Norwich, born to the late Volney and Esther Titus on November 7, 1943. He began his career in 1963 at Sears Roebuck in Norwich as a service technician. He later went to work at Raymond Corporation where he advanced to Lead Electrician. He used his skills as an electrician and maintenance engineer at various firms in the area including, Victory Markets as an electrician, Lewis Engineering, Norwich Aero Products and retiring from Pharm Assist Analytical Labs in South New Berlin as Facility manager for all three locations. Stub served his community with the Maydole Hose Company in many capacities including Captain of the engine company, Fire Training Officer, Chenango County Fire Instructor, First Assistant Chief and many other positions.

When Stub was in high school, he purchased a 1957 Chevy that he restored to original perfection with his family. The car was his lifelong love and will be passed down to future generations.

In addition to his parents, Stub was predeceased by his wife of 44 years, Ruth; his siblings, Hannah Goodwin, Ken Titus, Sr., Art Titus, Sr., Jeanne Joslyn, Bill Titus, and Eleanor “Squeak” Spaulding. He leaves behind his children, Mike (Chauntel) Titus, Gidget (Cary) McConnell, Donna Murphy, and Teresa Titus; his grandchildren, Brock (Angela) Titus, Samantha (Michael Yaddow) Wise, Scott (Lindsey) Murphy, Graydon Phoenix Rice) Murphy, Harley (Pasquale) D’Abbraccio, Emily Swartwout, Peyton Swartwout, and Trey Swartwout; 12 great-grandchildren; his sister, Karel Titus; his brother in law, David Yarrington; as well as many nieces and nephews. Family was always first in Stub’s life, and he will be dearly missed by all. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Maydole Hose Company 31 East Main Street Norwich NY 13815.

Calling hours for Stub will take place from 4:00 – 7:00pm on Monday, December 22, at R.J. Fahy Funeral Home, 116 N. Broad St. Norwich. He will be laid to rest in the spring at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
