Joyce E. Ryan

Joyce was born on March 6, 1934, in Norwich the daughter of Clinton and Ruth Steere Dunckel. She attended the Norwich schools and spent the early years of her adult life in Walton, NY. For the past 40 years she has made her home in the Oxford area and on July 6, 1974 married Thomas Ryan who survives.

Joyce is survived by her husband Thomas, her sons Brian Moore and wife Rosanne of Smithville, Dave Moore and wife Sandy of Norwich, her sister Barb Wright of Sherburne, her grandchildren Keith Moore and wife Karie of Oxford, Kenne Moore and wife Lisette also of Oxford, Cassie and Melinda Moore of PA, Dyer Moore of Norwich, Scott Cummings and wife Jen of PA and her great grandchildren Taylor, Brooke, Ethan, Brenden, Harvey, Calvin, Chase and Meeya. Also surviving are a niece, 2 nephews, and great nieces.

Besides her parents Clinton and Ruth, Joyce was predeceased by her brother Leon Dunckel.

A celebration of Joyce’s life will be held at the home of her son and daughter-in-law Dave and Sandy Moore, 23 Gold St., Norwich, on Tuesday, Oct. 1, from 4-8 pm. Family and friends are welcome.

Interment will be at the convenience of the family in the Mt. Hope Cemetery.
