June 30, 1948 – December 19, 2025
After a long and courageous battle with COPD, Margaret Elaine Kreiner (née Kuder), age 77, passed peacefully in her beloved home, surrounded by loved ones, on December 19, 2025, in South Plymouth, New York.
Margaret was born on June 30, 1948, in Norwich, New York, to Albert D. and Grace E. Kuder. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Kreiner, her dear sister, KarenAnn Rosinsky and cherished cousin, Robert Shoales. A 1966 graduate of Norwich High School, Margaret retired from Proctor & Gamble after 30-1/2 years. Taking great pride in her home, she enjoyed tending to her plants, gardens and decorating her home for every occasion. In retirement, she volunteered with many historical and cultural organizations as well as returning to her love of painting and sculpting.
A fiercely proud mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Margaret’s greatest joy was her family. She is lovingly survived by her daughter, Cleo (David) Weiss, her son, Michael (Maureen) Kreiner; her grandchildren, Zachary (Elizabeth) Weiss, Jacob (Chelsea) Weiss, Justin Kreiner, Ryan (Yeraldine) Kreiner, Regan (Michael) Weiss, Joshua (Lauren) Weiss, and Sophie-Grace Kreiner; great-grandchildren, Eva, Marilyn, and expected great-grandchild due in January 2026; and dearest “sisters” Carol Parmeter and Linda Kays-Biviano.
Deeply loved by family and friends, Margaret often underestimated just how much she meant to those around her. She will be remembered always for her strength, her kindness, her generosity, and the boundless love she gave so freely.
Thank you to family and friends for the calls, visits, and home cooked meals over the recent months. A special thanks to Hospice for their assistance in ensuring her last days were spent at home, comfortable and peaceful.
A Fond Farewell will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026, from 12:00 to 4:00 PM at Taylor’s Country House, 297 NY-320, Norwich, NY 13815. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice, Southern Tier Antique Gas and Steam Engines Association or the Kreiner/Loomis Antique Gas Engine-Tractor-Auto Show.
Plymouth, New York.
