I met marti when I needed child care for my youngest son who was 6 and a handful she knew I was a struggling single parent and agreed to watch him even on weekends I WILL ALWAYS APPRECIATE HER KINDNESS TO A STRANGER

Dear Charlie and entire family of Marti, We have been praying for you all. Marti sowed so many seeds of joy in this world. She lived life well and is now making heaven a more beautiful place. Aunt Marti was a special person whose enthusiasm and love for life was extraordinary.  No matter how hard things became in her life she always saw a positive in the situation.  Although I saw less of Aunt Marti as I grew older, whenever I did see her she always came over gave me a hug and told me that she loved me and hoped that I always knew that.  I will miss those hugs and words.

I met Marti through a church event that was held yearly.  She was a lovely and a very talented person.  She will be missed very much.  
Heaven has gained a wonderful angel.

I knew Marti at Emmanuel Episcopal Church between 2009 and 2012. She was such a loving person to all! I especially remember her smooth dance moves to church music. I envied her rhythm!

To the Edmonds Family: Rich and I are so sorry to hear about Marti's passing. She was a very caring and special person. We met Marti at one of the Geneganslet Lake Annual Picnics.  In conversation, a few years back, she found out that my son lived in CA for a time, near Marti and family. She told us that if he ever needed anything, she'd be there for him.   We are thankful for her kindness and thoughtfulness! She will be very missed!

Marti brought me into her home at a young age to watch me before the bus came, as my father had an early shift at the factory. I then attended her nursery school in the basement of the old church. She was at my high school graduation and  unfortunately in the 20 years since I hadn't seen her but once. 

We love you Mrs. Edmonds and your memory will be with us for many many years. I hope to raise my children with as much passion and enthusiasm as you did. Your energy was unmatched. Love you Chris and Natalie (and the rest of the family I didn't get to know as well) your mom was super special - Chris T.

Marti welcomed John and I into the Edmonds' circle quickly and completely with warmth and love. We became friends almost instantly and shared laughs and adventures effortlessly because she had such a big open heart.  Her giving nature benefited the children in Parkview School's Performing Arts program for years as she worked passionately to sew the costumes for show after show - often for casts of 70 or so! She was one of the pillars of the program, realizing Jen's designs in physical form. In the Improv Class Marti helped kids feel safe and comfortable trying new, zany, wild things knowing they would face acceptance and encouragement. Marti was kind to everyone, eagerly pushing for each kid to succeed. 
Marti's  generous spirit and kindness will be so deeply missed. 
Her love for her family could never be overstated. Please take good care of yourselves through thick and thin, love, Cat

Heartfelt condolences to Charlie and the family Marti cherished so much.  Birgit and I could always see her obvious 'pride of family at all the gatherings we attended.  I'll always remember Marti as someone who wore her feelings and opinions on her sleeve, Eh!  (Pardon my Canadian lol)  We didn't always agree, but I never left her presence wondering what she was feeling/thinking.  I respected that part of her character very much and will always remember her fondly...Neil

I have known Martha since fifth grade. She was one of the most caring and loving people I have ever known. It didn’t matter how long our paths didn’t cross when they did it was like we had just seen each other.  She was always upbeat and positive. She will be missed by many.

The first time I met Marty was on Halloween Day. She led a line of children all dressed up in their costumes and walked into the Credit Union. She was wearing a cow costume complete with utters in front and a long tail in the back. I laughed so hard and we became instant friends. The following week, I started to work for her at the Nursery School and Day Care. That was the beginning of a life long friendship. It was so easy to talk to her and she always made me laugh. I always knew that I could count on her in times of need, and she knew the same about me. She will be forever missed

Marti - a warm, caring wife, mother, gummy, great grammy and friend to all. She will be so missed!

Marti was a classmate and was the kindest most generous person I have known. I enjoyed catching up with her at class reunions. She and Charlie were awesome together.

Mom Marti lived to give to others and found so much joy in her very large extended family- church families, her preschool kids’ families, the community of Greene, and beyond. Her gain in heaven is our very significant loss. I am joyful for her, and filled with sorrow at the same time. 
What a gift she has always been, I feel very lucky to have called her ‘Mom’ ❤️

To all of the Edmonds family,  Marti was one in a quadrillion, who changed every life she touched for the better.  I'm so very sorry for your loss. I'll always remember what fun we had when we'd see each other at diocesan events.
