Nancy J. Redfield

Nancy J. Redfield, 87, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2025 after a long battle with Dementia. Born January 17, 1938 (along with twin sister Ann) the beloved daughters of Roy and Harriette Redfield. Nancy was raised in Norwich and graduated from Norwich High School in 1956. She enjoyed many memorable summers at the family cottage on Chenango Lake. She graduated from Cortland and taught for over 30 years at Maine-Endwell schools. Nancy married her high school sweetheart Robert Fierro and together had 3 loving sons, Craig (Cindy), Brian (Jean) and Kevin Fierro along with 7 grandsons, Michael, Matthew, Thomas, Corey, Kyle, Jonathan and Jeffrey Fierro and 12 great grandchildren. Nephews (Ann’s boys) Lance, Linc, Lon and Lee Yerton of Sherburne. Nancy was a loving mother who never missed her sons’ games or events etc., rain or shine. She enjoyed the outdoors and loved skiing and was a dedicated chaperone for the High School Ski Club. Nancy skied into her 70’s alongside her partner of over 30 years, Tom Barker, mostly at Magic Mountain Ski area in Vermont. Nancy was predeceased by her sister Ann. A funeral service for Nancy will take place at 12:00pm on Saturday, June 14, at R.J. Fahy Funeral Home, 116 N. Broad St. Norwich. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00am until the time of service.
