She spent most of her life in Flushing, Queens before moving to Plymouth Reservoir in December of 2006. While living in Flushing she was the manager for Dunkin Donuts. As manager, Rachel was responsible for developing and initiating the festive decorations for their donuts, especially for Halloween. At Halloween she would dress up as many different characters over the years and had a following of many loyal customers.
Rachel was a lady who loved people and made friends easily. This was evident in her loyal customers. As the years went by and the area she worked and lived declined she and her husband, Dean, made the choice to move up to the reservoir.
On April 21, 1971 in Brooklyn she married Dean Tice who survives. Besides her husband Dean, Rachel is survived by her daughter Monique Lizcano and her husband Carlos Lizcano of Flushing and her son Jason Tice and his wife Christina Tice of SanLeon,TX. Also surviving are her grandchildren Tatiana, Sydney and Mateo, her great grandson Dereck and Walter Lizcano who she raised as a son as well as 4 sisters and one brother.
