Audrey Joan Cook

Audrey Joan (Gaudette) Cook, of Norwood, passed away peacefully at the age of 84 on August 21, 2021. Audrey was born in Haverhill, Ma on October 21, 1936 to Joseph and Beatrice (Cormier) Gaudette. She graduated from Haverhill High School and remained living in the area until moving to Boston. She took a job in the insurance industry where she met her future husband, Frank Raymond Cook. Audrey and Frank were married in 1961 and moved to Norwood. They remained married 24 years, until his passing. Audrey absolutely loved to read, as well as baking not only the best chocolate chip cookies, but banana nut breads which fed many a college student over the years.

Audrey is survived by her three children Michael and wife Joanne Cook of Wrentham, David Cook of Kissimmee Florida, and Jennifer and husband Thomas Jakabusz of Chester, Ma; her sister, Judith Paquette of Salem, New Hampshire; her grandchildren Kevin, Michael, Kristen, Leah, Eli, and Madeline, and great grandchildren Lucy and Corinna, as well as many nephews and nieces.

She is predeceased by her loving husband Frank Cook and her siblings Edward and Arlene.

A visitation will be held at Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole Street, Norwood on Saturday, August 28th from 9am to 10:30am followed by a funeral ceremony at 10:30am. Interment to follow at Highland Cemetery, Norwood.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Norwood Food Pantry, 150 Chapel Street, Norwood.
