Daniel F. Chisholm

Mr. Chisholm served in the U.S. Navy and was retired after many years of service with the U.S. Postal Service. He was a very active member and a past Exalted Ruler of the Norwood Lodge of Elks. He volunteered his time with many area youth and adult programs, such as SNARC in Westwood as well as the Needham YMCA, where he coached the Neptunes.

Mr. Chisholm was the son of the late Gerard T. and Annie (Carberry) Chisholm; beloved husband of Barbara Chisholm; loving father of Theresa Ralff and her husband Kenneth of Norfolk; Mark Chisholm and his wife Lauren of Norwood, Karen Harn and her husband Stephen of West Roxbury, formerly of Canton, and Nancy and Ron Varney of Norwood; devoted brother of Joseph Chisholm of New York, and the late Marie Chisholm and John Chisholm; cherished grandfather of Marie and James Ralff, Amber and Sean Chisholm, and Danielle and Jack Harn. He was also survived by many niece and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 8th at 8:00am from the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole Street (Rte. 1A), Norwood, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00am in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 547 Washington Street, Norwood. Interment with military honors will follow the Mass in Highland Cemetery, Norwood. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday, September 7th from 4:00 – 8:00pm.
