Dominica E. "Nica" Howard

She was the loving daughter of Marcina Howard of Norwood, and the late Domingos DePina; devoted mother of Trae’von Howard-Richardson of Norwood; sister of Ebony Lake of Dedham, Antonia Howard of Norwood, Jonathan Santiago of Roslindale, Domingos “DJ” DePina Jr. of Norwich CT, Andre Pina of Brockton, Marissa DePina of Norwich CT, and Seth Pina and Renice Dave of Norwood; aunt of Marquez Howard, Ebony Alana Lake and Isabella Howard-Brooks. She is survived by her grandparents, Sylvester and Antonia DePina of Boston, Andre Ridley of Boston, and was the granddaughter of the late Wanda Howard. Also left to cherish her memory are many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, as well as all of her family and friends at Waters Church in Norwood.

Nica was a 2001 graduate of Randolph High School, and worked as an Accounts Payable Specialist with Redhawk Co. in Taunton. She was a very bright and talented artist who was very creative. Nica had a strong and deep devotion to God, and was very involved in Children’s Ministries, The Worship Team, and Security at Waters Church. She was also the “Fix It” person in her family. If anyone had a technical issue to figure out, Nica was always the one with the solution. She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visiting hours will be held from 4 to 8 PM on Thursday, July 23 in the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole St. (Rt. 1A) NORWOOD. A service in celebration of Nica’s life will be on Friday at 10 o’clock at Waters Church, 668 Walpole St. (Rt. 1A) Norwood. Interment will be private.
