Loving father of Linda Roberts Ruprecht and her late husband Robert of Weymouth, Dennis J. Roberts and his wife Paula of PA, Nancy E. Roberts of Norwood, Michael E. Roberts and his wife Maura of Middleborough, Helen M. Roberts of Norwood, stepfather of Wendy Cutler and her husband Howard of Canton, Ron Woolfort and his wife Susan of PA. Cherished grandfather of Kimberly, Michael, Laura, Ryan, Dennis and Tyler, great grandfather of Audrey, Grady, Noah, Owen and Hannah, step grandfather of Amy, Michelle, Stacey and James and step great grandfather of Ryan. Funeral from the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole St., (Rt. 1A), NORWOOD, Oct. 1 at 8 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Catherine of Siena Church, Norwood at 9 AM. Harold enjoyed vacationing during the winter months in Fl. and playing golf in both FL. and Cape Cod with his wife Nancy. harold was born in 1921 in Chelsea, MA. He graduated from Brighton High School in 1939 and Boston College in 1944. He served his country with the United States Army as a S/Sgt. from July, 1942 - December, 1945 in the European Theater and received three battle stars. He also received specialized language training at Ohio State University in German for Army Civil Affairs Post War. He was a member of the Traffic Club of NE, Past President and Past Regional Vice President of Delta Nu Alpha Trans Fraternity #109, Past Grand Knight Norwood Knights of Columbus Council 252 and member of St. Pius Council, Yarmouth. He was a member of the Boston College Club of Cape Cod. During his professional career he was sales representative for U.S. Rubber Company, tire Division. He spent the last thirty years in the trucking industry in various sales, terminal manager and regional manager positions.
