Mr. James Joseph Goonan Jr.

Jim was the beloved son of the late James J. and Nora (Connolly) Goonan, Sr.; devoted husband of Sara A. (Craig) Goonan; loving father of Jennifer Donati and her husband Giancarlo of NY, Jill Muise and her husband Brian of Westford,; loving brother of Richard Goonan of Holden, Robert Goonan of Norwood, Mary Chilcot of West Wareham; proud grandfather of Gioia, Stephanie, Gemma and Danielle. He is survived by many nieces, nephews and countless friends.

Jimmy was born on August 24, 1936, in Milton and has resided in Norwood for most of his life. Upon his graduation from Norwood High School, he served in the United States Army. Jim worked as a manager for Air Canada for 25 years until his retirement in the early 1990s. He was an avid golfer and Norwood Colonial Boy. He took great pride in keeping up his pristine yard and was known by his loved ones as a generous, good man. He will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 22nd at 10:00 am from the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole Street (Rte. 1A), Norwood, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 547 Washington Street, Norwood.

Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery in Norwood.

Visiting hours will be Monday from 4:00-8:00pm at the funeral home.
