Loretta A. (Falvey) Eosco, of Westwood and Ocala, FL, formerly of Wareham, passed away at the age of 101 in the Sunrise Assisted Living in Norwood, surrounded by her loving family on October 20, 2019.
Born in Boston, MA on April 29, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Timothy and Hannah (O`Sullivan) Falvey. Loretta grew up in the Mission Hill Neighborhood of Boston. Loretta married her husband, Michael J. Eosco on February 8, 1935 in Mission Church in Boston. Together they settled in Westwood, where they raised their family.
In addition to raising four children, Loretta worked alongside her husband at Michael Eosco Fuel. Loretta was a devoted wife and supportive mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She and Michael enjoyed many winters in Rolling Greens Community of Ocala, FL and were very active in the community. Loretta was a great bowler and was a member of the 125 Club. She also liked to square dance, play cards, sew, work in her garden and was a great cook.
Beloved and devoted wife of 84 years to the late Michael J. Eosco. Loving mother of Ann Smith and her husband George of Wrentham, Rosemary Oliverio and her husband Frank of Westwood, Timothy Eosco of Jamaica Plain and the late Joseph A. Eosco. Cherished grandmother of Laura, Daniel, Mark Dianne, Carolyn, and the late Deborah Smith. Adored great-grandmother of Jessica, Alden, Gavin, Myles, Matthew, Amanda, Caitlyn, Ryan, Gwendolyn and great-great-grandmother of Braydon. Caring sister of the late John Falvey, Margaret Woods, Mildred McElroy, Alice Schultz, Helen Falvey, Anne Maloney, Florence McDivitt, Mary Falvey and Timothy Falvey. She is also lovingly survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 30th at 9:30AM from the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole Street, Norwood, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30AM in St. Timothy Church, 650 Nichols Street, Norwood. Interment will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery, 500 Canterbury Street, Roslindale, MA.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 4:00-8:00PM in the funeral home.
