

Robert L. "Bob" Healy, of Norwood passed away at his home, surrounded by his wife and children after battling a long illness on Friday November 14, 2025 at age 77.
Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Leo and Margaret (Hines) Healy. Bob was raised in Islington, and was a graduate of Westwood High School with the class of 1966, and went on to attend and graduate from Burdett College with the class of 1968. Bob worked as a lineman for over 30 years for New England Telephone. He was a parishoner of St. Catherine of Siena, and a long-time member of the Norwood Elks. For many years, Bob volunteered and coached for Norwood Little League. He enjoyed playing games of golf with his friends at Olde Scotland Links in Bridgewater, and Royal Crest Country Club in Walpole. Bob was an avid Boston Red Sox Fan.
Bob was the beloved husband of 55 years of Ann (Naughton) Healy of Norwood, and the devoted father of James Healy of Boston, Karen Healy of Norwood, Richard Healy and his wife Maggi of Franklin, and Jason Healy of Bellingham. He was the proud grandfather of Michael Healy and his wife Olivia of North Attleboro, Kyle Amirault of Mansfield, Lyric Healy of Bellingham, Gracie Healy of Franklin, Devin and Téa Healy of Bellingham, and great-grandfather of Meadow Healy of North Attleboro. Bob is survived by many friends.
Immediate services are private, and in the care of Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole Street, Norwood. A Celebration of Bob's life is planned for a future date. Please check this website for updated details.
