Uche Catherine Powers

Uche Catherine (Ekekezie) Powers, age 53, of Hyde Park, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 29, 2026. Born in Enugu, Nigeria, she was the daughter of the Bertrand and Caroline (Okeke) Ekekezi.

Uche loved the Lord, her church, her friends, and family.

Uche was the beloved wife of Stephen K. Powers Sr. of Hyde Park. She is survived by her children, Jaachukwu Favour Chudi-Okeke, Chukwuzulum Shalom Chudi-Okeke, and Dabeluchukwu Amstrong Chudi-Okeke, her mother, Caroline Okeke, her siblings, Dr. Linda Okeke, Nonye Yzoagbado, Dr. Amaka Ezekwonna, and Ifeanyi Ekekezie; and her step-children, Stephen K. Powers Jr., Natalia R. Powers, Maximus E. Powers, and Adriana S. Powers.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to the Visiting Hours in The Family Life Fellowship, Hyde Park Foursquare Church, 28 Arlington Street HYDE PARK on Saturday May 16, 2026 from 9-11 AM prior to the Funeral Service, which will begin at 11 o'clock. Interment will follow at Melrose Cemetery, Brockton.
