Veronica E. Jones

JONES, Veronica Elizabeth (Manna), of Norwood, died Tuesday, March 18 at the Lafayette Rehab in Marblehead, she was 93, and the beloved wife of the late John Paul Jones. Born in Dedham, she was a daughter of the late Ottino and Annie (Calello) Manna, and is survived by her son, William “Bill” Jones and his wife Ruth of Wrentham; her daughter Patricia “Patti” Jones of Swampscott and her husband Scott Kennedy of Vichy, France and Swampscott; and her grandsons, Alex and Zachary Jones both of Wrentham. Veronica was the sister of Andy Manna of Walpole and Julia Velardo of Tamworth, NH. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral service in the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole St. (Rt. 1A), NORWOOD at 11 o’clock on Saturday March 22, followed by interment at Highland Cemetery, Norwood. Visiting hours will be held from 4-7 PM on Friday at the funeral home; relatives and friends kindly invited. Late retired school cafeteria worker for the Town of Norwood. Veronica was deeply involved in the American Legion, and Norwood town theatre, and was also involved in many fundraising efforts in town.
