

Wanda Mae (Pettie) Howard, 77, of Brockton, passed away in Norwood on Monday, December 29, 2014 at her loving daughter’s home surrounded by her family. Born in Cambridge on July 4, 1937, Wanda was the daughter of the late Rosalie Pettie. She was the widow of the late Allen Howard; the loving mother of 7 children, Allen Howard and his wife, Brenda of Norwood, Brion Howard and his wife, Donna of New Hampshire, Paris Howard of Fall River, Marcina Howard of Norwood, Seth Howard of New York, Maurice Howard and his wife, Lisa of California, Aquarius Howard of Brockton; the cherished grandmother of 26 grandchildren, “Rebecca” Valencia, Anthony, Alana, Brion, Dana, Monique, Nikea, Brion, Jr., Sheanary, Ace, Jordan, Ebony, Antonia, Dominica, Andre, Seth, Renice, Symone, Briawna, Justin, Maurice, Marcellus, Shacara, Shatayah, Khamari, and Baby Bayo, and over 20 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by lots of cousins, the extended Johnson family from Boston. Wanda was a strong and independent woman, who loved sewing, knitting, crocheting, crossword puzzles, online computer games, owls, elephants with their tusks up, and cooking for her family, especially on holidays. She loved God , enjoyed reading her Bible, and also loved spending time with her grandchildren. Wanda’s funeral services will be private.
