Wendy Lee Thomashay

Wendy Lee Thomashay of Norwood passed away surrounded by her family in Boston on Friday, December 12, 2025 at age 60 after a long illness.

Born in Norwood, she was the daughter of Karen (Lockhart) Thomashay of Norwood, and the late Peter Thomashay. Wendy attended local schools and was a graduate of Norwood High School with the class of 1983. Wendy worked for over 25 years for the former Building 19 in Norwood, and more recently with K&G Fashion Superstore. She was an avid reader, known to read at least two books per week. Most of all, family was at the center of Wendy's life.

Wendy was the beloved long-time companion of Eric Anderson, and the devoted mother of Lindsey and her husband Udson Vieira, all of Norwood. She was the loving sister of Cheryl Thomashay of Norwood, and the proud grandmother of Gabriela Vieira of Norwood. She is survived by her nieces, Melissa Taylor and Kristy Lorenzetti, both of Norwood, and long time friend and neighbor Desire Wise. She was the former wife of Paul Butts of Cumberland, Rhode Island. Wendy loved and will be missed by her two cats - Luna and Biscuit "Bisky".
