William N. "Bill" Donovan

William Neal "Bill" Donovan, age 65, of Cambridge, Massachusetts passed away accidentally while hiking in the White Mountains, NH on Tuesday April 16, 2024.

Bill was the son of the late Dr. Edward L. Donovan and Margaret L. (Davol). He was the devoted brother of Nancy of Philadelphia, Steve and his wife Corinne of Duxbury, Robert of South Hadley, Ellen of Rochester NY, John and his wife Robin of Walpole, Michael of Norwood, Elizabeth of Norwood, and the late Edward L. Donovan, Jr. and Thomas Donovan. He was the proud uncle of Lisa, Laura and Amara, Jonathan, and great-uncle of Sienna, Luke, Tyler, and Christian.

After graduating from Norwood schools, he continued his studies at UMass Amherst and Boston College where he received his M.B.A. in Finance. Bill held several corporate financial management positions in both Cambridge and Boston.

While residing in Cambridge, Bill was active in community efforts, traveled through several continents, and developed a passion for climbing the White Mountains in New Hampshire.

A Visitation will be held in the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole Street (Rt. 1A) NORWOOD on Tuesday June 18, 2024 from 9-11 AM, prior to the Funeral Service beginning at 11 AM. Interment at Highland Cemetery in Norwood will be private.
