Daddy, I love you and will miss you terribly.  I will never forget your gorgeous blue eyes and your many stories.  You were the best Dad and I always appreciated everything you did to help and support me.  I enjoyed everything we did as a family, and thank you for all the wonderful memories.  I will cherish them forever!  Bi-cycle!

Mr. Al was truly a great man. I remember meeting the Davie family for the first time and as soon as I walked into the room Mr. Al was the first to stand up and greet me. He made me feel so welcome right away and I will never forget that. I always loved hearing his stories ranging from his time in the military, growing up on the Chesapeake Bay, the glory years of the Colts and Orioles, and many more memories from his past. Once I started my career with the Natural Resources Police he took a genuine interest in what I did and would always ask me “what’s new on the bay.” I will cherish the memories of him steaming the crabs, driving the tractor down the road, horseback riding at Gettysburg, trap shooting, and of course shooting from the “prone” position. Thank you Mr. Al for treating me like one of your grandsons, for all of the stories, and all of the memories. Rest In Peace Mr. Al. I Love You.

My dad was a great man & a wonderful husband & father. He would do anything for family & friends. Above all he was a family man. He was an only child and cherished having 3 daughters, then sons-in-laws, & then especially grandchildren- he was especially proud of them. Growing up he was very involved in our lives and all our activities, our Girl Scout troop years come to mind  with funny memories! He had many interests, like decoy duck carving, but he most enjoyed anything that involved a group of us, to name a few: holidays, Ocean City, DisneyWorld, trips to historical places, birthday parties, sporting events, parades, band concerts, band trips, college visits, graduations, weddings, and especially anything for the grandchildren.  We could always count on Dad, he was always willing to help in any way, & he did, many many times- we’re so grateful. We have so many memories and Dad was an example to live by.  I know he treasured us, but we treasure him more & will now forever more. We love you, Dad, “bye-cycle”.

I enjoyed spending time with Al.  We spent time shooting, riding horses and ATVs, and going to gun shows.  I especially enjoyed listening to his stories.  He accepted me into the family, and told me to call him Al from the beginning.   I know he will be watching as we continue to finish the farm.  Love you Al!
