I remember how he loved butterscotch tasty cakes.  The piano was his passion and certainly helped in finding many friends.  Annette, everyone knew you were named for Annette Funicello.  Your dad was enamored with her at a young age.  So sorry I didn’t know he passed.  He will be missed.

To Norita and family,
I was truly troubled when I returned from vacation and learned that Tony had passed and I had missed the services for him. We worked together for many year for the federal court.  Regardless of what was going on, Tony would make us laugh. He would be the first to argue a wrong and the first to lend a hand when needed.  I am happy our paths in life crossed. 

He was extremely proud of  his family and kept us laughing with stories as his grandkids grew.  I will always remember the ski trips to Canaan  Valley and the  laughs with him and Norita.  
Memories are important and I hope time and prayer will quickly allow the family to smile whenever they think of him. 

Will always be thinking of all of you. Tony loved his family and you all will have memories to keep for years to come.  He will definitly be missed at the Thanksgiving fiasco!

Dear MomMom, Annette, Larry, Stephanie, and Samantha,
Pop is missed,  He was a good man who loved his family and enjoyed life with them.
My husband, Di and I would agree that we learned more about him by our visits with him in his last weeks at Keswick.   He had courage, strength, and memories that he shared about his youth, his friendships, and where he grew up in Dundalk.  He was a man of impeccable taste, opinionated, and doing things right.  He loved music, especially his experience with the piano, and playing gigs with his friends.  The one thing that we definitely agreed on was that the 50's and 60's were the best years of our lives.
Our visits are called Memory Lane and reliving them with Tony becomes a time worth sharing together and telling stories, especially with someone who has been there.
Good Bye, Tony, we will see you in Heaven, in which the word has it, is Better than Life on Earth.

My prayers goes to. Mr Stover family at this difficult time. It was a pleasure taking care of him.....he always wanted to dress up nicely and wanted things to be in order. He loved his McDonald's 🍔 and he would brighten up when his son in law brought him one for lunch.  I always teased him about his love for chocolate and life saver candies. May his soul rest in peace!!!!🙏🙏🙏

I enjoyed spending time with my buddy is what I called him either in his room or sitting outside.  Mr. Stover would tease me when we sat outside and a bug would come near and I would jump every time.  He know he loved his Nuggets. I hope he get a visit the nugget factory in heaven.  My he rest in peace.

Dear Mom Mom,

     As you know, your husband was the most liberal person I knew (other than with his wallet) that actually knew the arguments.  I always enjoyed sitting next to him at family events talking about current events and politics.  He was always up for a good debate and, as you know, never short of an opinion.  This is what I liked about your husband, his strong personality.  However, this is not what I loved about your husband.  What I loved about your husband was his character and the lives he helped build with you - his family.  Your husband took great pride in his family, and was especially proud of who you were as a unit.  As a young man it is a blessing to have the type of example that your husband provided to me.  

     I will miss him - a lot.  I wish there were words I could provide to lessen the sadness you are feeling.  Please remember the great, beautiful and wonderful family that you now have around you will always have a big part of him in it, and his legacy will continue to be with you through them.

Tony and I started school at 
St Rita’s in 1st grade. We met again at CHC, played in the Band throughout high school and had memorable times together. The cold Turkey Day games,; The Shows, Felice Yula, band outings, all great times. Tony was a good guy, well thought of and always fun. We’ll miss you Smoky Stover.

I worked with Tony back in the ‘80’s.  We shared great times together at clerks office softball games and ski trips.  I remember him playing piano at an FCCA conference while we sang along.  Great memories.  So sorry for your loss.

TONY'S FATHER ANDY AND MY MOTHER MARY WERE BROTHER & SISTER. 
MY FAMILY HAD A SHORE HOME AND WE HAD BOATS. WHEN TONY WAS YOUNG.
HIS FAMILY HAD A HOME ON THE SAME ROAD. TONY AND I PLAYED TOGETHER WHEN WE WHERE CHILDREN AND WE WENT TO SCHOOL TOGETHER AT ST RITA SCHOOL IN DUNDALK. 
TONY WOULD BRING NORITA DOWN TO THE SHORE WITH HIM. NORITA TOLD ME SHE LOVE TONY AND THEY DID GET MARRIED. 

TONY REALLY LIKED MY BAKED MACRONI AND AUNT MARY'S POUND CAKE. 

I KNOW HE IS PLAYING THE PAINO FOR THE LORD AND THE ANGELS.

Thanksgiving this year would have marked the one year anniversary of my physical meeting of Pop.  It is sad to know that it will never come, but I felt like I had known him much longer.  The stories told throughout the Smith house when I visited would usually involve him in one way or another, especially when talking about Giant or getting cigarettes.  My favorite still being the Father’s Day Dundalk saga. 

Pop would always buy treats for everyone, including myself (please see attached picture), and I am glad I was able to visit him at least once in the hospital to thank him for treating me like family though we barely got to meet.  Thank you and rest easy.

Tony was my Cousin. I remember playing on the Beach down at the Shore. We loved the water and eating fresh Crabs for lunch and dinner that were caught in the Crab traps there. In 2005 Tony and one other Cousin Jeanine paid our plane trip to go to Baltimore for a week long visit. Had such a great time. It was extremely kind and sweet of them to do that for us, Tony was so thoughtful. 
     We will miss him so much but are glad his suffering is over. God bless and keep his Soul. Love and consolation to all the Family.

Tony's father was my father's younger brother, and we remember they had a close relationship even until adulthood.  We were able to continue that relationship with Tony and Norita - attending important family events:  weddings and birthdays and holidays.  We enjoyed watching Tony and Norita dance  - they were the best!   Calvert Hall had a special place in Tony's heart.  Our condolences to Norita, Annette, Larry, Stephanie and Samantha.

I only knew Pop for a short time but in that short time he always treated me like I was another granddaughter. He always remembered to send me a card at birthdays and holidays. He was very sweet inviting me to family events like a wonderful easter dinner.  Pop you will be missed but never forgetten.

My memories of  Uncle Tony  were of him playing the piano for us at our house when him and Aunt Norita would visit during the holidays. The year we had Easter dinner and he was excited because we had all the polish tradition foods,. 

Pop had written me a letter dated November 9th 2014 in which he told me about his service in the Army Active Reserves. He was very proud of that service, and while he never saw active combat, he earned a sharpshooter medal as a rifleman. He said in his letter he wanted me to have a small memento of his young life before my mom (he knew I always kept mementos and special knick-knacks!). Thanks for your service in the Army reserves Pop.

Pop and mom-mom always enjoyed those famous Box Hill crabcakes! 

As grandkids, we always asked Poppy to play his piano for us. Keswick had a piano in one of their communal activity rooms, so Poppy asked Mom to bring him some sheet music. He wanted so badly to get better. He said that playing the piano helped his mind get better, but it also brought joy to the other residents as well as the nurses who always clapped for him.
