On December 19, 2023, Dorothy “Dot” Farran, passed away. Dot is the beloved wife of the late Norman Leon Farran, Sr., and Jack Bachtell, Sr.; devoted mother of Margaret Ann Engle, Sharon Flanary, and the late Norman Leon Farran, Jr., and Debra Farran; loving grandmother of Amelia Buffington, James Day, Lori Engle, Dawson Engle, Deston Farran, Norman Farran, III, Kaden Farran, Austin Ramer, Jennifer Long, and the late Nicholas Farran, and Scott Peyton. Dot is also survived by many great-grandchildren her siblings Janet, Joyce, David, Terry, and Allen, and predeceased by her siblings Carol and Junior, and nieces, nephews, loving family and friends.
A graveside service and interment will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, 1:00 p.m. at Holly Hill Memorial Gardens, 10201 Bird River Rd., Middle River MD 21220. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to ASPCA @ aspca.org
