Former longtime Dundalk resident Edith A. Collins went home to be with her Lord on February 10, 2019 after a period of declining health. Predeceased by her husband Ralph, she is survived by her son Eric (Polly) and grandson Joshua. After a childhood on a farm, she became a nurse, and worked in hospitals, an oral surgeon’s office (the late Dr. C. Adam Bock), and at Gray Manor Elementary as a school nurse. She briefly taught Kindergarten at Dundalk United Methodist Church, and later volunteered in the church office, as well as helping with Vacation Bible School at Dundalk Presbyterian Church. She also enjoyed baking, gardening, and crafts.
The family will receive friends at Schimunek Funeral Home, Inc., 9705 Belair Rd., Nottingham, MD 21236 on Friday, February 15, 2019, 4pm-7pm, and on Saturday February 16, 2019, 11am-12pm, with a funeral service to follow at 12pm. Interment will follow at Moreland Memorial Park.
