Edward S. Chlan

On October 27, 2015, Edward S. Chlan passed away peacefully at home after a long illness. He was the beloved husband for 58 years of June Chlan (nee Ingrassia); devoted father of Steven Chlan and his wife Jill, and Renée Fitzgerald and her late husband Casey; loving grandfather of Erin and Tara Fitzgerald; dear brother of the late Charles “Mose” Chlan; cherished brother-in-law of Maria Hand and her fiancé David Kyle, and Vincent Ingrassia and his wife Jackie. Also survived by many loving extended family members and friends. Edward served in the United States Navy on the USS Worcester for 4 years during the Korean War. He was a decorated Police Officer with the Baltimore City Police Department for 28 years. Ed was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman.

Relatives and friends may gather at Schimunek Funeral Home, Inc. 9705 Belair Rd, Nottingham, MD 21236 on Friday October 30th from 3-5 and 7-9pm. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 1pm at the funeral home. Interment Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens.
