

late Karol and Rosalie (nee: Niziolek) Krac. She had four sisters, May, Helen, Ida and Stella, and one brother, Steve, all of whom predeceased her. She grew up on Bank St. and attended public elementary school near Patterson Park. She married the late Frank T. Casper (Kasprzak) in February 1933 at Holy Rosary Church. She is survived by her three children, Joan McCarthy (husband Timothy - deceased) of Ardmore, PA, Frank J. Casper and wife, Carolyn (Russell) of Bel Air, MD, and Robert A. Casper and wife, Diana (Rossbach) of San Rafael, CA.
Frances worked as store manager of Maxine's Dress Shop at the comer of Fleet St. and Broadway until the early 1950s, and then assisted her sister, May, who owned and operated Bridal Originals of Maryland on Saratoga St. in downtown Baltimore. After her husband's death in 1982, Frances moved to St. David's, PA where she was very involved in food preparation at the senior center for over 20 years. In 2007, after a minor stroke she moved into assisted living in Forest Hill, MD. From September 2011 until her death she resided in a nursing home in Havre de Grace.
Frances was a very staunch Catholic and her faith was very important to her. She was an excellent cook and teacher of culinary arts. In addition to her sons and daughter, she is survived by ten grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Schimunek Funeral Home, Inc. 9705 Belair Rd. (at Forge Rd.) on Friday from 9 to 10:30 am. A funeral mass will be celebrated at the St. Joseph Church, Fullerton on Friday at 11 am with interment to follow at the Holy Rosary Cemetery. Further information and online condolences available at
